Get involved: Impact of local authority support changes on carers during COVID-19

In response to the pandemic, many local authorities changed the way that they assessed and delivered support services such as day centres and the provision of care at home.

This research aims to understand how these changes may have impacted upon people living with dementia and their partners.

Who can get involved?

We are looking for people who:

  • are 70 years old or over;
  • care for a partner or spouse who is living with dementia at home;
  • live in one of the following areas: Derbyshire, Doncaster, Oldham, or Coventry.

What will I be asked to do?

Taking part involves a telephone interview that will last approximately one hour on a date and time that is convenient for you.

If you would prefer, it is also possible to do the interview in two parts.
